Welcome to the Queen City!

Now, Pray for the financials.

I moved into my Loft Apartment in Charlotte, NC this week. It rocks, furniture is on the way, and I took my first jog around the city in a while. I start working in mid-July for Wachovia.

But Damn, the economy sucks right now. I am waiting intently for Wachovia to post its second quarter results, and have become addicted to watching its stock ticker slowly drop. I just don't want them to lay off thousands or get bought out by Chase like Bear Stearns did.

Here is a message for all of those with adjustable-rate mortgages: PAY YOUR BILLS FFS!!!!

Here is a similar view from my terrace:

Senioritis!

Here I sit, April 6th, only 3 full weeks of classes left here at Virginia Tech. Only about one month until graduation day. The weather is turning warm, the ladies are wearing the appropriate volleyball clothing... How am I supposed to focus on school?

Well, forunately, there is no need to focus. I will get A's and B's in all my classes, and finally all of the hard work my fellow seniors and I have committed is paying off. Paying off with 3 full weeks of leisure, partying, volleyball-ing, and so on.

This is it, this is the end of college as we know it. Grad school will not be the same (when we all go in 2-5 years). Cherish it people. Enjoy this month.

JUST HAVE FUN!

What are Apple Jacks, really?

When I am craving a more unhealthy cereal to fill my dinner appetite, I usually go to Apple Jacks. But man, how come when I start eating them, I can't put them down until I've downed about six bowls!!!

I've always thought maybe Kellogs combines minute traces of crack into their sugar.. if that's even possible.

Can somebody explain to me why there are always WAY more orange pieces (Jacks?) than green pieces (Apples?).

Maybe there are some mysteries that will never be solved, but the sugary addiction that is Apple Jacks has me in its grasp..

Mission spring break: success

4 nights with three people I really didn't know that well, and 2 that I did. I know them all more than I ever would have liked too now, SPRING BREAK WOOT BLEH!

I must urge everyone to indulge in their own "Traditional Spring Break" trip at least once before they graduate, it's a blast. But, Myrtle Beach is dead this early in March, so entertainment was conjured on our own. I loved every minute of it.

On a side note: The brand new Anderson Ocean Club is amazing, the deal we got was pretty bangin too.

Spring Break - I can feel it

For the first time in my undergrad, I am going on a stereotypical spring break. Myrtle Beach, SC - where the weather is going to be 63, 65, 67, 68 and sunny for each day we are there - Nice!

Here is our resort!!!

So the question is... What happens when you mix six people, a three bedroom suite, and a little alcohol, all into a five day beach party? Check back to find out, lol! (Hopefully no children)

Longest national anthem... EVER

Well we did it, it took two and a half hours, but VT beat GT to move to 7-6 in the ACC. It all started with a slow heavy breathing national anthem, and ended with this guy scoring 27 on the day, a season high!

Over 60 fouls in a game will make it long, but it felt like forever watching it from the rafters... with lead paint falling on my friend's heads. Cassell Collesium is old, and Jim Weaver hires very poor half-time shows.

But, we won, and it was a good day!
